Mixed Media Pet Portrait Class:
Four Hour Session | Online or In Person Tickets: Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM PDT

Class Details:
Fall in love with the creative process! Tracy designed this class for those who suffer from BLANK PAGE SYNDROME. Tracy Lang will walk you through her process for creating original Mixed Media Art. Each student will complete a 8x10 original of their subject suitable to hanging! A great class for beginners or the curious. 

The goal of this four hour emersion class will be to take you from blank canvas to hanging portrait in one glorious day. Share the sunlit studio with Artist Tracy Lang and 8 others excited to create a piece of mixed media art worthy of hanging on the wall. 

Bonus: Each project will be photographed and sent to you digitally opening the door to unlimited options for reproducing your art. A fun way to share your one-of-a-kind original.

Live Broadcast Online Only: $100.00
This class will be a live broadcast via Zoom. Zoom is a free application, no subscription of required for you to participate. Participation does not require you to be on camera. Show your face at your own comfort level.

Students will need to raise your hand to ask questions. Your back ground noise will disrupt everyone's creative space. For the benefit of all students online and in person we ask that you remain muted until called upon to unmute.

 

  • Each in person student will be assigned a work station. 

  • Studio will provide refreshments include water, tea, coffee.

  • Space and parking on the waterfront is limited please bring only yourself and your creativity! 

  • This course will be recorded for learning purposes and replays.



     

FAQ's

How do I login to this online live broadcast class?
This class will be a live broadcast via Zoom
(PST). Zoom is a free application, no subscription of required for you to participate. However, you will need to have a Zoom account setup prior to class start time. Please be aware that the Zoom tool frequently updates its platform so we suggest you login 15 minutes early to the waiting room to ensure any required updates are addressed before class begins. Enter from the waiting room will be granted 10 minutes before scheduled start of this class. 

What if I loose the connection?

Each online class is supported by a live admin. Those who experience a drop in the broadcast will be allowed re-entry, simply log back in to the waiting room. 

Will the class offer a replay? 
Yes, the class will be available for replay for 7days to every student regardless of in person or online ticket status.

What materials do I need  to participate from home?
Suggested materials / links to purchase  are those recommended by Tracy Lang to support a good out come. Tracy earns no commission on your purchase. In person students will be assigned a station and all necessary materials to complete the project.

What should I understand about lunch? 
Lunch break: 30 Mins:
We encourage students to pack a lunch. Bainbridge lunch lines can be long and slow at local eateries, potentially cheating you out of shared conversation and inspiration time with your fellow students. Weather permitting lunch can be taken outside in our waterfront courtyard.

What if I do not complete my portrait int he allotted time? The pace of this class is intentional. This class was created to address BLANK PAGE SYNDROME. To be a working artist requires a dedication to creation. Some days you may not feel inspired, this class is designed to help you push through and get your project completed as a way of showing you a path to conjure up something when you may be struggling. Those who complete their project at the scheduled pace will receive a digital file of their completed portrait for unlimited use on other mediums such as cards. Those unable to finish their peace will be given access to the replay for 7-days.

Where do I park? 
Bainbridge Island has limited public parking. Those choosing to drive will be direct to public parking options. Those arriving by ferry should consider walking to the studio.
